I was just watching some video from the Hubblecast, and while watching the videos, I stared thinking about what I want to say, what I want to study, and express how I see life - and choose to live.

I, when I really think about it, am a strong evolution supporter. I hate it when people ask me, “So, you think everything was an accident then?” It’s strange how people understand the theory of evolution as a series of accidents, because, really, there are no accidents, that everything happens with reason. That, really, nothing is random, just reasonable change.

I also find it discouraging to debate evolution, especially with people who think someone or something created everything. I can, usually, only debate with people that have an understanding beyond our world, even our galaxies. I’m so hugely interested in astronomy for this reason, just because it’s so immense, and, admittedly, gives me relief and peace of mind, in a way.

The changing parts of our known Universe, are so threaded that it’s very possible we are the first occurrence of our kind (human-like). That we may very possibly be the seed, a milestone, or change, by which future generations of specie (human like), will look to for the answer to, “where do we come from?” Many will try and think, “So, we’re just an accident?” I would very much discourage this. We have a reason for being here, things before us had a need to change, and we’re here as a facilitate for that change. Just as we created God, who seems to facilitate our need to quickly answer, the big question of, “where do we come from?”

It’s also interesting how astronomy opens my mind up to the idea that everything is alive, because everything changes and evolves. Galaxies, stars, planets, (ideas) - they’re all all groups of things. That, sometimes, gives us assurance that there must be others like us, but what have we done but duplicated ourselves - different races, colors, athletes and scientists. I kind of like the idea of everything being alive, because I think a real error to answering the question of “where did we come from,” comes from the notion that if something doesn’t function like us, it’s not alive. But, have we not done exactly as everything we know has?

Change is alive, and everything changes.

I think, even if we are the very seed for human specie, that even, in the far future, future specie will continue to look deeper for the answer, “where did they come from?” They may never get rid of the idea of God, because, even we can’t grasp that we’ve already answered that question, because, we’re answering it.

I’ve always thought of life as a verb, and that in all definitions, verb most clearly represents life. In answering our questions we answer them, but we will never have the answer. Give me the answer to anything, and I will give you more questions…

“Where did we come from? And, what will come from our kind?” Truly, never ending life.

I hope, as we change, more of us can discover there are answers, within the question.

So, after all this time, dealing with my arm and researching what could be wrong with it. I don’t think I can continue hitting a one-handed backhand anymore.

Turns out I have had this problem before, agitating a tendon in my right arm, hitting my backhand and serving the way I do. But I think it’s finally catching up with me, and healing is taking longer and longer. So, I may have some changes to make - first I will be moving to a two handed backhand, as not to agitate the tendon in my arm. Also I am thinking about adjusting my serve to use more of my arm/body weight to power through the motion.

I’ve hit a two-handed backhand before, so hopefully, the transition won’t be to hard.

Nothing is official, but I may tinker with the idea starting this week. And, I’ll keep everyone posted.

Explains a lot, right? Haha!

Most people don’t take me seriously when I tell them I really was raised Wiccan, in world of Witchcraft and Wizardry, no really. Most really think it’s silly to imagine such a world, where you talk about Magick, Gods, Goddesses, etc. I just wanted to put a video up, and send you to MagickTv, because I would recommend anyone who’s interested in how I grew up, the types of stories, and lessons I learned growing up Wiccan; the people - that they check out these videos.

It’s a crazy-strange looking world I know, but these two people, typically, were normal for me to see, everyday. But, I can imagine how strange it looks for you. But it’s real, the beliefs are real, and people do live this way in full belief and happiness.

But I think that if you really check it out, you’ll see they aren’t just people playing make-believe, that their real people, with caring genuine beliefs. Even if, they seem a little strange at first :D.

Often, people ask me about my Philosophy: my beliefs in God, super-natural, the universe, etc. And, thankfully, most have been able to understand me when I explain to them what I understand, and personally believe, about parts.

It all starts because I don’t believe in a part, although we use the word to describe a single piece, it’s simply an illusion we create to so we can explain using one word. I believe, that any part you come in contact with, has more parts, and those parts (or part) has parts.

So, even though you call a spoon a spoon it could be called a million other things, metal, light, etc. A spoon could be made up of any number of parts, and those parts have parts, and so on - forever. It would take you forever, just to say spoon! Isn’t it interesting, that although it would take forever to say, it wouldn’t to use it? I’ve always thought there was something interesting about that…

For people to understand a part always having more parts, makes it easy to understand, it’s a journey, it grows, it’s only as big as the last place you stopped. For instance, an atom, I’m sure could have more parts. And the universe, that big black thing, I’m sure it’s a part of something else, and it is a part of another - that seems so easy to understand, right?

As we discover more parts to something, we discover more parts were always there. This means nothing is non-existing. That something is always right there, just waiting for us to see. As soon as we reach one of those parts it will always present more - really, a never ending journey.

So, if as soon as we “see” another part, isn’t it strange, that, we know it, it seems to work - seems we understand it? Well, almost. If all the parts are connected, how is everything hiding from us? Think about it, what if there is something about how we work, that hides more parts from us, but as soon as we “see” more parts, they’re there - like we should have known they were there. The only question we ever really have is, “is there more parts?” - right?

But, if everything is an ever incrementing amount of parts, nothing can possibly know everything - it’s not a part right? Maybe there is something unique in human thinking, “part thinking”. Your knowledge of everything grows, but “everything” seems to be un-imaginably existent of them. I’m sure this pisses philosophers and great thinkers off, it pisses me off too.

But I find comfort in, what I call, “reality”. I find comfort in how realties might work. To be continued…

I am giving Cricket Wireless four stars today! Yeah, not quite five. In regards to this post, the error creeped up again, but this time it was on the internet and phone system - customer service was still very aware of their mistake.

Even though they had adjusted the bill, the changes weren’t properly reflected online or on the phone system. Well, I paid the adjusted amount, but that still (in the background) left my account as not paid in full. Reminents of the error still existed within the system, somewhere, I’m guessing.

This left my phone in-active, and when I called customer service, I couldn’t get a customer representative unless I paid my account in full, a very bad loop hole (minus one star). So, I opted to go to a local Cricket store to get it fixed…

The problem was fixed within five minutes, and I got a free month of service. They removed all the fees, and even transferred my phone service to an old phone (I had also broken my screen that day). I didn’t even have the old phone with me, they found it for me, and it was working when I got home!

That’s called keeping the customer happy. The even recommended I called the NM PRC, the people that ensure no one is screwing you over, and put in a complaint about the loop-hole in their system.

If you’re like me, and use Apache 2 now, and you’ve noticed the new
sites-available
and
sites-enabled
folders in
/etc/apache2
and it made you smile.

Also, I have a folder called
Projects
in my home folder where I work on a number of sites, and I wanted to have an easy way to edit/create files in my
sites-available
folder, and re-link them (even a new one) in my
sites-enable
d folder.

Also, I wanted it to edit
/etc/hosts
so I can use sub-domains like
project.localhost
.

Well, here’s a little script I use,

echo Edit and create Apache 2.2 Sites Script
echo Created by Aubrey Island - http://imaginecambio.com/
cd /etc/apache2/sites-available/
echo Creating backup of hosts
sudo cp /etc/hosts /etc/hosts.bak
echo Starting gEdit use the new document to save a new site to sites-available.
sudo gedit /etc/apache2/sites-available/* /etc/hosts | sudo gedit --new-document
echo Removing gEdit backup files, this may produce an error - ignore.
sudo rm /etc/apache2/sites-available/*~
echo Clearing sites-enabled, this may produce an error.
sudo rm /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/*
echo Creating links -> sites-enabled
sudo cp /etc/apache2/sites-available/* /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/ -s -u
echo Restarting Apache2
sudo apache2ctl restart

Here’s what I use to create a new VirtualHost in the new document, if you’re just editing, just ignore the new document.

<VirtualHost *>
ServerName gazouiller.localhost
DocumentRoot "/home/aubrey/Projects/gazouiller"
</VirtualHost>

You can add a
localhost
sub-domain by going to
System -> Administration -> Network
in Ubuntu 8.04, and add something like
127.0.0.1 subdomain.localhost
. This script will manually edit
/etc/hosts
for you to edit.

Here’s some screen-shots of the process.

So lets take roll, shall we? RPM? Deb? tar.gz? ebuild? Oh, there’s only four of you? Oh, that’s not so bad, right?

Oh, and check out the new Linux category! Yes, Linux deserves a category and Windows doesn’t!

I just wanted to take two minutes to express how greatful I am that Cricket helped me out, right away, when I went online to pay my bill, and it was $155.00 this month!

I usually pay a $45.00 bill, but for some reason there was some calculation error. So, I called customer service, they noted the error, gave me a 7 day extension, and they are going to call me when they have adjusted the bill back to normalcy - so I can pay my normal bill.

Good Job, I’m impressed, and f&*k Verizon!

Have a good day…
